Happy Holidays from The Dusty 45s! Thanks to all of you for your support in 2008! There were many highlights and here are a few that we would like to share with you!

The 2008 Summer Concerts. We had the largest turnout ever at University Village and played our first Seafair Festival. We shared the stage with The English Beat and The Knack at the Festival of the River, and returned to the Harbor Steps/out to lunch concert for the 9th time!

Boston and Nantucket! The band traveled to the east coast in October for a string of shows. We performed at Boston’s Historic Wilbur Theatre with Pearl Jam’s, Stone Gossard, and Seattle’s Johnny Cash sensation Vince Mira. The band was grateful to have long time friend and talented upright bassist Corey Kaiser join us for the tour.

‘Gimme Shelter’ concert at the Triple Door Theatre. The Dusty 45s and friends raised $56,000 for the Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC). The DESC supports Seattle’s most vulnerable mentally ill and homeless men and women.

Most notably, we were honored to meet and play a fundraiser for Barack Obama!

In 2009 we plan to continue our quest to rock you, not only in Washington State, but across the country! Thanks to all of your for inspiring us to create new music and explore the limits of what it means to be The Dusty 45s!

Thanks for a great year!

Billy, Jerry, Kelly and Guy

Over the weekend at the Showbox The Dusty 45s helped Vince Mira celebrate his CD release along with The Roy Kay Trio and Stone Gossard. The show was outstanding!

The Dusty 45s set was amazing. The boys continue to sound tighter and tighter everytime they perform! They played several new songs from the just released EP Fortunate Man. The Dustys were rocking and the crowd was fired up…then Billy Joe topped off the set with his signature flaming trumpet! Not to mention it was Billy Joe’s birthday!

Vince Mira showed his exceptional talent performing his new material as well as the classic Johnny Cash numbers. If you havnt seen this young man perform you need to…he will blow your socks off! Keep your eye on this rising star.

After a successful road trip and amazing East Coast Tour, The Dusty 45s are back in Seattle. One of the highlights of the tour was at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston. The band shared the night with fellow northwest roots rockers, Stone Gossard and Vince Mira. Read the great review here! Don’t miss the same great show on Saturday, 11/1 at Downtown Seattle’s Showbox Theatre. Doors for the All-Ages show are 8pm!

A special thanks to Wilbur Theatre, The Church of Boston, The Chicken Box, The Cisco Brewery and all the great fans that came out to support us! Our new EP will be available at the Showbox 11/1. Here is a sample from the EP…a taste of whats to come on the new full length album.
