If you have been to a Dusty 45s show and couldn’t find room to dance, then this show is for you! The boys return to Seattle’s best dance venue on April 25, and will be performing songs from their new album Fortunate Man, along with all the classics that have endeared them to the swing dance scene for over a decade. The jig (and gig!) starts at 9 pm with a 30-minute lesson, then get ready to show off what you learned and tear up the dance floor for the rest of the night! There’ll plenty of room to let your mad dancin’ skills take over, so come on down for some Sunday night fun!

dusty45s-fortunate-man-cover-small1A HUGE thanks to everyone for coming out this weekend to celebrate the Fortunate Man album release! From the in-store performance at Easy Street to the late show at the Tractor, we had a blast and are so grateful for your support!

We hope you enjoy the all the new material! We’re very proud of the finished product. We’re already thinking about the next album too! We look forward to playing more rockin’ shows for you soon. Check out our gigs calendar for the latest concert calendar. We expect to keep filling it up, especially with all the festivals coming up this summer.

If you haven’t already purchased your copy of Fortunate Man (what are you waiting for?!), it’s available NOW for download on CdBaby. You will also be able to purchase a “hard copy” of the cd there very soon, as well as at any of our shows.

Cheers!
Billy Joe, Jerry, Kelly, and Jeff

P.S. Here are a couple great pics from the Easy Street gig, sent over by Graham Lee. If you have concert photos you’d like to share with us, please send them to our Publicist Emily Robinson at emily@dusty45s.com. We just might be able to use them on here or our Facebook page (giving you a photo credit, of course!)!

d45s-posterThe Dusty 45s’ first studio album in five years, Fortunate Man contains a collection of 10 original Dusty 45s songs, including Walking in the Rain, River From My Eyes, and the title track, all of which have quickly become crowd favorites at recent live shows.

Infused by a passion for American roots music in all its varied forms, Fortunate Man blurs the line between genres to create a style that is, in it’s final distillation, entirely fresh and new. Singer/Songwriter, Billy Joe Huels, paints his illustrative and personal stories with a signature ’65 Gibson steel string guitar, and combines elements ranging from honky-tonk and swing to pure rock. Enter in Seattle’s finest with top-notch vocal harmonies, twangy guitars, upright bass and drums, top it off with Huels’ fiery trumpet and The Dusty 45s’ unique sound is complete.

The Dusty 45s will celebrate the album release with an in-store preview at Easy Street Records on Queen Anne, March 26, 2010, at 7 pm, followed by two shows at the Tractor Tavern on March 27, 2010, at 7 and 10 pm. Advance tickets for the album release at the Tractor are available for $15 at www.TicketWeb.com. Tickets at the door will be $18.
