The Dusty 45s celebrate the life and music of Rock and Roll pioneer Buddy Holly on the 50 year anniversary of his death with a tribute performance at the Triple Door in Seattle. The legendary rocker was just 22 on February 3rd, 1959 when a tragic plane accident took his young life. The Seattle band is fronted by Billy Joe Huel’s who starred in the 5th Avenue Theater’s production of “Buddy”. The Dusty’s will perform many of the hits which spanned Mr. Holly’s short but prolific career. Billy Joe shares his experience portraying Buddy Holly on the KUOW podcast and you can read a review of the original 5th Ave production “Buddy” here

There are two shows on Feb 3rd at the Triple Door. The first 7pm all ages and the second 9:30pm +21. Come out and celebrate the life of an amazing artist who was one of the most influential creative forces in early rock and roll.
